Art Direction

The Concept & Artistic Direction.

Nomadic Nom Noms is a fictional feature show broadcasted by the Relish network. Its name is a playful alliteration which hints at the enjoyment of eating and socially sharing meals, family recipes and cultural traditions which revolve around food. This tongue-in-cheek informality aligns with the exciting and intimate lens used by the show.

Equal parts travelogue and food expert, Nomadic Nom Noms explores the cooking of cultures around the globe with the help of its food journalist and cultural anthropologist hosts. These two gourmets seek out street food and home cooks that share their passion, knowledge and cooking with others.

The artistic direction is one that uses black and white photography for a touch of nostalgia combined with accents bursting with vibrancy to emphasise the significance of food in human lives all around the world. The typeface has a brush-stroke texture to reference the organic and profoundly human character of the show.
