The Brief.

Development and presentation of a proposal for the Toronto International Film Festival 2025 marketing campaign. This campaign proposal include the designs for a print ad, social media post and story.

The print ad feature a magic realism collage of the iconic Gooderham Building as a testimonial to Toronto’s history and most influential films in its 50-year history. Two of these films are referenced in this scene, including Rob Reiner’s 1987 Princess Bride and Deepa Mehta’s 2005 film titled Water.

Both the Instagram post and story use de-saturated or black and white photographs of Toronto city to communicate a mundane feeling which contrasts against the highly-saturated, vibrant references to TIFF. The Actors in Focus post uses the special edition of the TIFF logo as a lens or eyeglass, alluding to the art of filmmaking.
